brainCloud 5 is alive!

Hi,

We are pleased to finally release brainCloud 5!

brainCloud 5 aims to make you and your team even more productive with:

• A brand-new Design Portal
• brainCloud BootCamp training videos - over 10 hours of free courseware!
• Integrated Forums <- see recent posts from the Design Portal - and click-thru to instantly log in and contribute
• A whole-new Documentation site <- which is also integrated into our new Script Editor!

Of course, the centerpiece of brainCloud 5 is our new next-generation Design Portal - Portal-X!

We first began working on Portal-X almost 4 years ago. We had long known that we have to replace the portal - a bunch of the underlying technology was very old (and not easily upgradeable) - but we knew that doing so would be a huge undertaking.

The Design Portal is over 100 very functional screens - and we had to simultaneously catch up with our Legacy Portal - while still adding new features to both Portals!

So - as much as we are happy to finally get Portal-X out there - I think we're even happier to only have to work on one portal going forward!

Which isn't to say that we think Portal-X is perfect. There is a lot of good stuff there - and we've tried to bring you a better experience - but we know we'll have missed in some spots -- and there will be unexpected defects in others (hopefully not too many!)

We know we aren't done. Expect a fall full of small patches to ensure that Portal-X is working great for everything.

And to that end - keep the feedback coming! We love to hear from you - to know what you like and what you don't. And what you think you need going forward.

We are hoping that these forums can become a bigger part of that conversation. We've worked hard to better integrate them - and our team members will be making a concerted effort to participate here more.

So let's get that conversation going!
